The field includes the medical diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart
defects ,valvular heart disease, coronary artery disease ,electrophysiology, heart failure,etc. Doctors who specialize in this field of medicine are called
cardiologists. Doctors who specialize in cardiac surgery are called cardiac
surgeons .
